    Old Corrugated Containers (OCC #11):

    OCC #11, or Old Corrugated Containers Grade 11, is a specific grade of recycled cardboard packaging materials. It primarily consists of various types of corrugated cardboard, including cardboard boxes, cartons, cardboard trimmings, and fruit packaging cartons. Here are the key specifications and characteristics of OCC #11:

    • Material Type: A 100% corrugated carton material.
    • Prohibitive Materials: Prohibitive materials, such as non-paper contaminants, are limited to a maximum of 1%.
    • Total Outthrows: The combination of outthrows (unwanted materials) should not exceed 5%.
    • European Standard: Conforms to European Standard EN 643 Code: 1.05, classified as “Ordinary Corrugated Board.” This category includes used boxes and sheets of corrugated board of various qualities and may contain up to 10% of other packaging papers and boards.
    • Non-Paper Components: Non-paper components are restricted to a maximum of 1.5%.
    • Moisture Content: Moisture content should not exceed 12%, with all papers stored in air-dry, indoor warehouses.
    • Packing: OCC #11 is typically packed in bales, each weighing between 20-23 metric tons per 40HQ container.
